Not every concrete problem is a house foundation problem. Driveways, sidewalks, porches, patios, and garage slabs sit on the same clay and settle for the same reasons — washed-out soil, voids under the slab, and poor compaction. The good news is that flat concrete can usually be lifted back rather than demolished and repoured.
Lifting is faster, cleaner, and typically far less expensive than replacement, and the surface is usable again quickly.
How slab lifting works
Small ports are drilled through the slab. A lifting material — polyurethane foam or a cement-based grout depending on the application — is injected underneath. It fills the voids, compacts loose soil, and then raises the slab in controlled stages while we watch the surface with a level.
Ports are patched when the lift is complete. Most driveway and walkway projects are finished in a single visit.
